N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Patriot Guard held their 8th Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial and Honor Ride on June 13th and 14th.

George Quigley, Southeast North Dakota Ride Captain, stated that the Patriots Guard was created to help families of soldiers that were either returning from service or those killed in action.

Roughly 300 people attended the service honoring three North Dakota soldiers that were killed in action. Sgt. 1st Class Darren Linde of Devils Lake, Spc. Tyler Orgaard of Bismarck, and Sgt. Michael Bitz of Wishek were honored over the weekend.

Over 175 riders participated in the weekend ride. All proceeds raised over the weekend go on to other Patriot Guard events to honor soldiers.
