CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Incumbent school board member Mike Callahan defeated challenger Stephanie Kruta for the At-Large position in the June 10 election.

Callahan received 839 votes and Kruta got 582 votes in the Tuesday election. Callahan has served for 20 years on the board and it was Kruta first run for an elected position.

Meanwhile Ryan Mathias who faced no opposition for the Rural School Board position received 1,269 votes in the June 10 election. It’s Mathias first run for a political office.
