CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Incumbent Barnes County Commissioner Phil Leitner and challenger Mike Metcalf will face each other in the November 4 election for the District 2 seat.

Metcalf received 146 votes, Leitner had 119 and Shawn Olauson received 39 votes in the June 10 primary election.

In Barnes County District 3 Commission race Ryan Mathias and Bill Carlblom will face each other again in the November 4 general election.

Carlblom received 127 votes and Mathias got 102 votes in Tuesday’s primary election.

The following candidates are running unopposed in the November 4 general election they include Barnes County Commissioner Rodger Berntson in District 4.

Others running unopposed include; Sheriff Randy McClaflin, Treasurer Vicki L Zinck, State’s Attorney Carl L Martineck, Auditor Beth M Didier and Recorder Jody Pfaff.
