N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police and area Ambulance were dispatched to the Jamestown Municipal Pool on Thursday, June 5th for a young child that possibly had drowned.
Children were at the pool participating in the Jamestown Parks and Recreation program when a young boy had jumped into the pool on the shallow side and had waded into the deeper end of the pool and lost consciousness. A male lifeguard had pulled the boy from the pool prior to officials arriving on scene.
According to Police Chief Scott Edinger, when units arrived the boy had the AED applied to him, but it was unknown if the AED had been administered. The boy was taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
