N.D (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Babe Ruth team split two non-league games with Enderlin on Wednesday night losing game one 6-4 then winning the second by a tally of 5-2.

Valley City opened game one strong scoring three runs in the opening inning. However, Enderlin was able to answer in the bottom of the frame scoring four runs of their own. Despite a strong day at the plate from Sam Jenson, who was 2-3 with a run, and Andrew King, who had two RBIs in the game, Valley Could not find their way back into the game.

After the loss, Valley City looked to their pitching to even the score with Enderlin, and Riley Miller answered the call. Striking out five batters and allowing just three hits and no walks, Miller helped VC to their third win of the season.  Valley scored all five runs on just three hits. Reese Huschka led VC at the plate with 2 RBIs in the game.

Valley City now stands 3-1 on the season. Their next game comes on Friday, June 6th  when they host Jamestown at Charlie Brown Field.
