FORKS, N.D. (AP) – The Grand Forks City Council has voted to ban selling electronic cigarettes to minors after concerns of underage use have grown.
The Grand Forks Council approved the ordinance Monday night.
City Attorney Howard Swanson says the new ordinance treats electronic cigarettes the same as tobacco products in terms of licensing and sales to minors.
Several other cities in the state have passed or are considering similar ordinances. Swanson says state law already bans using the “e-cigs” in public places.
