(NewsDakota.com) Voters who reside in the Oakes School District will be heading to the polls Tuesday to elect two members of the School Board.
Both seats feature the incumbent running un-opposed. Phil Roney is running for re-election unopposed for the Rural seat, and Cherie Muggli is running for re-election unopposed for the seat representing the area west of North Dakota State Highway 1.
The deadline to submit a name for the June ballot was the end of March, and any challengers to Roney or Muggli in Tuesday’s election will need to be write-in candidates.
Voting will take place at the Oakes School from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Canvassing of the election is scheduled around 9 p.m. Tuesday during a special school board meeting.
