(NewsDakota.com) -The boys Class A state golf meet opens tomorrow at Jamestown Country Club. The rain over the past few nights hasn’t hindered preparation for the event which begins at 9am on Tuesday morning.
Jamestown won the WDA regular season title despite not winning any of the 10 meets in which they competed. They won the title based on lowest scoring average for the season, which included seven runner-up finishes and four by just a single stroke.
The Jays will have the luxury of knowing all the ins-and-outs of their home course which coach Dean Kraft will play long and soft during first day action. “We’ve got guys with distance off the tee,” and Kraft. “We should be able to neutralize the long course.”
The Jamestown golfers are among the first to tee off, not long after the first groups hit the course. You can follow live scoreboard updates by clicking this link.
