Allen Boumont, age 55, Fargo, ND, died in Sanford Medical Center after battling a longtime illness. Kevin was born in Valley City, ND, to Allen Boumont and Joyce (Boumont) Baumgartner.
Kevin was baptized and later confirmed at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City, ND. In 1977, Kevin graduated from Valley City High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in Germany. Kevin married Marsha Ward on July 7, 1989, in West Fargo, ND.
Throughout his life, Kevin was employed by Arkota Woodworks in Valley City, Solid Comfort, and Gateway Builders, both in Fargo. His illness prevented him from employment these last few years.
As Kevin grew up, he enjoyed drawing pictures of everything. He was an all-state wrestler, ran track and cross country and was an active Boy Scout as well. Kevin was an avid fisherman, loved bowling and enjoyed going water-skiing. All that knew Kevin, knew how he enjoyed being outdoors, loved his boxer terrier, Star, and was always joking and laughing with friends and, of course, watching game shows. Kevin was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan!
Kevin is survived by his father, Allen (Darlene) Boumont, Valley City, ND; his mother, Jo’Marie (Wayne) Baumgartner, Jamestown, ND; his sister, JoLynn (Rick) Brandenburger and their sons Jake and Nick, Hankinson,ND; his daughters Amber Watson, Marysville, Washington and Jaime Boumont, Pullman, Idaho, and one son, Logan Boumont, Pinehurst, Idaho; three grandchildren – Michael Boumont, Olivia and Sawyer Watson. He is also survived by 8 aunts and uncles; Doris, Karen, Reg, Vivian, Debbie, Charlotte, Rayleen and David; many cousins and great friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents; Dorothy and Wib Campbell and Achille and Hilda Boumont.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4th at Valley Christian Church, Breckenridge, MN.
Funeral service will immediately follow – officiated by Reverend Dave Kuhfal.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton, ND.
