N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was predicted that heavy rainfalls would strike in and around Jamestown this past weekend. The forecast did not disappoint.
According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, rain totals for the weekend from May 30th through June 1st topped 2 inches. A total of 2.26 inches fell in Jamestown during the scattered showers throughout the weekend. A flood warning was issued over the weekend but has since been lifted.
Looking forward in the week, a chance of thunderstorms remains through all of Western and Central North Dakota Tuesday through Thursday. A threat of storms remains in the forecast Friday through Sunday with the best chances for rain being along the South Dakota border.
