N.D (NewsDakota.com) Both Dierra and Danica Diegel of Valley City High School were named to the North Dakota All-State softball team this weekend at the conclusion of the State Tournament in Minot.

Dierra spent the year as the catcher for the Hi-Liners and on many occasions caught for her sister Danica. Along with her time in the circle, Danica also play first base for VCHS. Both were aggressive hitters and often gave pitchers nightmares batting back-to-back in the lineup.

Danica will continue her softball career next season in college at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. Dierra will continue here athletic career on the basketball court at Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
