C. Winter, 79 Jamestown, ND passed away May 31, 2014 at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, June 4th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM, with visitation continuing one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Valley City.

Delores Winter, daughter of Richard and Vera (Vitalis) Ellefson was born July 10, 1934 at Rogers, ND. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1952 and attended Valley City State for one year. On July 30, 1954 Delores married James Winter at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rogers. They lived on the Ellefson homestead until 1995 when they moved to Jamestown, ND. James passed away July 28, 2006.

Delores was active in the community and church. She lived a life of service to her family and her faith. She loved music, the lake cabin, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Delores touched many lives in a very special way and will be a cherished memory in all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by three daughters, LuAnn (Larry) Knoke, Jamestown, ND, JoAnn (Miles) Schacher, Hawley, MN and Janna (James) Duran, El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Emily and Amanda Bushaw, El Paso, TX, Tyler Schacher, Hawley, MN, Staci (Landon) Nitschke, Lucas, TX and Amy (Eric) Larson, Douglasville, GA; great-grandchildren Logan & Lawson Nitschke and Alex & Nickolas Larson. She is also survived by sisters, Helen Pesek, Alice Kucera, Joan Vance, Lorna Hunt and a brother Gary Ellefson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Richard, Robert, Allen, and John, sisters Mavis, Janice and Vivian.
