N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A draft of the 2014 Dickey County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is now available for public review at the Dickey County Courthouse in Ellendale.

An open meeting will be held on June 11 in the Woodland Room at the Fireside Lounge in Ellendale to review the plan, and to add public comments. Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russel, South Central Dakota Regional Council Executive Director Deb Kantrud and Regional Planner Daniel Schwartz will be present to answer questions.

The plan will be presented to the County Commission on June 17th for approval. Should it be approved, the plan will go on to the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The review process may take up to 45 days to pass through each department.
