N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Industrial Commission has authorized the distribution of more than 7,000 to different organizations statewide.

The distribution comes as part of the Helping Housing Across North Dakota (Helping HAND) which is administered by the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA). In a joint statement, commissioners stated that “Helping HAND allows community action agencies, tribal housing authorities and other nonprofit organizations to quickly address the unmet housing needs of lower-income individuals and families.”

Funds have been distributed to local agencies. Jamestown’s Community Action Region VI has received $14,002. The grant recipients will be using the program dollars to benefit as many households as possible. A local match of 25% is required to access the funds.
