ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Eddy-New Rockford Library, Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts, and the North Dakota Humanities Council will be bringing in bestselling author Kathleen Norris to New Rockford.

Norris will be at the Opera House on June 11th at 7:00 p.m. to read, discuss, and sign her book “Dakota: A Spiritual Geography.” The book was written as a collaboration to commemorate the entry of South and North Dakota into statehood. Norris is also the writer of the New York Times bestsellers “The Cloister Walk”, “Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith”, and her new book “Dakota: A Spiritual Geography.”

Norris was born in Washington, D.C. in 1947. She published her first book of poetry in 1971. In 1974, she inherited her grandparents’ farm in Lemmon, South Dakota, where she then began her career of non-fiction writing. She currently resides in Hawaii and continues to lecture tours on the mainland.
