(NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown baseball team will be playing in Hutchinson, Kansas on Monday in the opening round of the NAIA baseball tournament. They will play Doane (NE) in the 2/3 matchup of the five team tournament. The Jimmies are the No. 3-seed with their record of 35-8. The Tigers have a record of 42-9.
The two teams have a bunch of common opponents with Doane having played Valley City St., Mayville St., and Dickinson State. The Tigers lost games to both Mayville and Dickinson. Doane also swept Winninpeg as the Jimmies did.
The Comets will also be in the same region which is hosted by top-seed Tabor College. MSU is the No. 4-seed and will play a 4/5 game against Viterbo (WI) on Monday.
The Jimmies will play at 4pm on Monday which is the second game of the day. Game will be broadcast on 103.1 The Raven. The Comets/V-Hawks winner will have to come back and play Tabor later that night.
