(NewsDakota.com) Oakes High School took third place at the 2014 State Class B Speech Tournament at Mandan High School on Saturday.

Oakes finished with a team score of 43 points, and had two State Champions with Alexandra Hill and Allen Paul taking the title in Humorous Duo.

Katie Kuipers was second in Radio Broadcasting, Aaron Gabriel and Geoffrey Rath were second in serious duo, Faith Osborn was third in Dramatic Interpretation and fifth in Impromptu, Marissa Diggs was fifth in Serious Prose and Alexandra Hill was sixth in Impromptu.

Enderlin/Maple Valley and Richardton-Taylor tied for first place with 52 points; Hazen was fourth with 35 points; Carrington was fifth with 33 points; and Bishop Ryan was sixth with 30 points.
