(NewsDakota.com)- The University of Jamestown locked up the No. 1-seed in this weekends North Star conference tournament with a win Saturday at Dickinson. The Jimmies took the opener 8-2,  before falling 3-0 in the regular season finale.

The Jimmies finished the NSAA with an 11-3 record and will be the top-seed when play begins on Friday at Charlie Brown Field in Valley City. Mayville State will be the second seed, both teams made the NAIA National Tournament in 2013.

Jamestown won and hosted the conference tournament last year and won a pair of thrilling games over Mayville to clinch the title.

The bracket has not yet been released, we will have it up as soon as its released.
