CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Hundreds of people attended the annual Valley City State University Earth Day Festival in Medicine Wheel Park on April 22.

Musical artists and native American dancers entertained the crowd. A number of people visited with vendors and learned about natural composting with worms, the benefits of solar power, plastic recycling uses, Prairie Water Research Center and many other items make from natural products that help the environment.

Above photo far left members of the VCSU baseball team say a few words about their teammate Dan Buehner whose body was found on the same day in the Sheyenne River in Valley City. A gathering to honor Buehner will be held at 7:30pm April 23 in the W.E. Osmon fieldhouse.
