N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – State Game and Fish Director Terry Steinwand has announced the appointment of longtime employee Scott Peterson as the new Deputy Director.

Peterson, a native of Montpelier, will begin May 1st. He’s been the Department’s Wildlife Resource Management Section Leader at the Lonetree district office in Harvey for 22 years. Steinwand stated that Peterson has proven his leadership abilities and looks forward to working with him.

The Game and Fish Department has been without a Deputy Director for more than a month since former Director Duane DeKrey left the agency to work for the Garrison Conservancy District.
