FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A legend in North Dakota hockey circles is dead. Serge Gambucci died in a Grand Forks hospital after suffering a stroke last week.

Gambucci coached Grand Forks Central to 10 consecutive boys high school state hockey championships.

He was named to the St. Cloud State University Athletic Hall of Fame and the U-S Hockey Hall of Fame.

Gambucci arena in Grand Forks was named in his honor in 2004.
