(NewsDakota.com) A member of the Oakes High School wrestling team has brought home a National Championship.

Michael Kelly won the heavyweight title in the junior division at the USA Wrestling/Cliff Keen Folkstyle Nationals last Saturday at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Kelly, a sophomore on the Tornado wrestling team, won the national championship match with a 9-1 major decision over Ethan Lape from Iowa. On the way to the title, Kelly won three matches, two by fall and the other by decision.
