N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City Administrator, Dave Schelkoph, has been elected as the Flickertail District Chair, Boy Scouts of America.  Schelkoph has been a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, Northern Lights Council, for several years in Dickinson, North Dakota and most recently in Valley City.  Schelkoph is an Eagle Scout and has 2 sons who are also Eagle Scouts.

As District Chair, Schelkoph will lead the Flickertail District.  Some of his volunteer duties as District Chair include:  Identify and recruit people for operating committees; plan and preside at monthly District Committee meetings;  in cooperation with the District Executive, ensure the completion of District goals;  and, represent the Flickertail District on the Northern Lights Council  Executive Board.

The Flickertail District, Boy Scouts of America serves Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Steele, Barnes, Stutsman, Lamoure, Ransom, Dickey, and Sargent Counties and is United Way Agency.
