CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City approved the construction plan for the first phase of the permanent flood protection around the Valley City State University campus. KLJ engineer Chad Petersen had this description of the million dollar project.

Petersen says bids for the project will be let this year with the preliminary construction starting later this year.

The Valley City board of commissioners unanimously approved the plan during their regular meeting on April 1.
