N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The community of Medina is invited to attend a tree planting in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd starting at 2 PM behind the ICS/FARRMS offices.
Students of the Medina School will be learning how to plant and care for apple trees while participating in planting a dozen different varieties of trees to create a public green space in Medina. Kathy Weiderholt, CREC Fruit Project Manager with the Northern-Hardy Fruit Project and Jamie Good from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture will be on hand to assist with the planting. Trees and protection were purchased with a grant from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
