N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department is seeking help in locating bald eagle nests all over North Dakota.

Biologists are looking for locations with nests of active eagles and not just individual eagle sightings. Currently, eagles are incubating eggs between March and April. Historically, nests were found along the Missouri River, but they have now been observed in more than half of the counties in North Dakota.

Biologist Sandra Johnson estimates North Dakota has around 120 active bald eagles nests and possibly more. Observations should be reported at 701-328-6382 or email at ndgf@nd.gov. Observers are asked to remain at a safe distance and not disturb the nests.
