N.D. (NewsDakota.com) North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is urging North Dakota livestock producers to take immediate action to prevent losses from an anticipated major blizzard.

He says producers should make every effort to gather their animals into sheltered areas with adequate feed and water. He says producers needing help should contact their local extension agent, county law enforcement or the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.

The weather service says travel will become dangerous, even impossible. The storm area includes most of the state south of a line from the southwest corner to the northeast.
