CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) The month of March is exiting with a gigantic roar across the state of North Dakota. Several schools and universities shut down today including the courthouses of Barnes, Stutsman and Foster county.

Several businesses shut down for the day on Monday due to the blizzard moving across North Dakota. No travel advised in Valley City or Barnes County, including Stutsman and Foster Counties.

14 inches of snow is expected in the James River Valley, and 10 inches forecast for the Sheyenne River Valley and about 20 inches of snow is predicted for the northern end of the Red River Valley in northeastern North Dakota. The storm is not expected to let up until Tuesday morning around 7am.
