N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A late March blizzard that has hit most of North Dakota has caused cancellations, postponements and many other weather related announcements in the state.
The National Weather Service in Bismarck announced that a Blizzard Warning was in effect until April 1st at 1 AM. Schools, businesses and city government buildings have shut down due to the excess 55 mph wind speeds and an expected 6 to 15 inches of snow. According to Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist, all of Stutsman County’s facilities will be closing. This includes the Stutsman County Courthouse, Law Enforcment Center, Social Services, Road Department, NDSU Extension and the Stutsman County Park Department.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation has also issued a No Travel Advisory for the area, stating that driving should wait unless there’s an emergency.
