N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Daily Bread Jamestown program has announced that the University of Jamestown’s cafeteria will provide food for the program. Aramark will rescue prepared food and freeze it for pick up and distribution by the Daily Bread representatives.
The Daily Bread program has been offering free frozen surplus meals in Ave Maria Village for about two years. Other organization in Jamestown also participate including the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. According to Tyler Lamp, a committee member with the group, there is a hunger problem in Jamestown and they are seeking food suppliers in the area to rescue food for freezing.
Mark Kneeskern, the Aramark Food Service Director, stated that the partnership will allow them to help solve local hunger. The mission is to have all available food rescued and used to feed hungry individuals in the area.
