Robert B. “Rob” McKibben, 64 of Minneapolis, MN formerly of Fargo and Valley City, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 as a result of complications due to Diabetes.

     Rob was born in Valley City, ND on March 7, 1950 to Robert E. and Eunice (Mikelson) McKibben. Rob graduated from Valley City High school in 1968. After graduation, he went to Concordia College of Moorhead for his bachelor’s degree. He then went on to dental school at the University of Minnesota and received his D.D.S degree in 1976 and shortly after opened his dental practice in Valley City, ND. He enjoyed working and living in the community in which he grew up, and was a member of the International College of Dentists, the Regional Board of Dental Examiners, and President of the Central District Dental Society. He retired from dentistry in 2010, after 30 plus years working chairside with Nancy Rierson.

     Throughout his life, Rob enjoyed flying, traveling, spending time with family and friends, being on the water, and his daily crossword puzzles and solitare.

     Rob is survived by his daughter Molly McKibben, his step-children Brooks Nagel, Nichole Nagel, and Lindsay Nagel, good friend Linda McKibben, and three grandchildren, Riena, Rudy, and Grayson Nagel-McNeal, all of Minneapolis, his four sisters Sue (Gary) Warner, Pat (Gar) Hansen, Mary White, and Carol Steinhoff along with 7 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins he was very close with throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E.(Mac) and Eunice (Mike) McKibben, and his brother Stephan.

     A private family service will be held at a later date with interment at Memorial Gardens, Valley City, ND.
