Airshow committee co-chair Dick Walstad says Jim Maroney was killed when his “Super Chipmunk” went down south of Knoxville. Maroney was heading to an air show in Florida.
The Casselton native, was a former squadron and group commander for the 119th Wing of the Air National Guard in Fargo. He retired from the military in 2002. He also was a chief pilot for Delta Airlines.
