N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Police have reported that accidental carbon monoxide poisoning caused the death of Harold Newman.
According to the report, 80 year-old Newman had accidentally left his car running in his garage attached to his Jamestown home before he went to bed on February 19th. Police responded to a call made after Newman had failed to make a dentist appointment earlier in the day.
Police reported that the carbon monoxide readings were high when they arrived on the scene. Newman may have been suffering minor memory lapses, given his age. Final results from the autopsy are expected to arrive in the next six weeks.
