CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) Four players from the Valley City State women’s basketball team were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Receiving the distinguished honor for the Vikings were senior Brittany Lehner, and juniors Stephanie Pedersen, Sierra Even and Megan Trautman

In order to qualify for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award, athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and must have junior status.

After graduation, Lehner  is looking to attend grad school; she majored in Health science and biology at VCSU.

Currently, Pederson is in the midst of obtaining an exercise science degree.

Even is pulling a double major in social science and spanish along with Trautman who is pursuing degrees in art education and psychology.
