(NewsDakota.com) The inaugural season of the Oakes High School baseball team will commence, weather pending, on Thursday April 3 when the Tornadoes host Enderlin/Maple Valley in their season and Region I opener.

The Tornadoes will be under the direction of Larry Engel as manager, and will be assisted throughout the season by Justin Prochnow. Oakes will enter Class B Region I and face LaMoure-Litchville/Marion, Kindred/Richland, Northern Cass, Central Cass, Hankinson-Fairmount and Enderlin/Maple Valley.

KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM will have select games throughout the season, inclduing the opener on April 3, with coverage starting around 4:45 p.m. from Cummings Field.
