N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Kiwanis Club is still seeking more donations for their Kids Against Hunger packaging event set to be held on April 5th.
The goal of $50,000 has been set for a March 15th deadline. According to Katie Ryan-Anderson with the Kiwanis Club, donations have been steady but the club is still short of the goal. As of March 13th, the club has raised over $23,000 dollars. An anonymous donor has also agreed to donate 1 dollar for every two dollars raised up to $25,000.
According to Katie, Kiwanis has also teamed up with the Great Plains Food Bank to keep a portion of the meals local.
Volunteers are also still needed. If you’re interested in donating, you can visit the First Community Credit Union in Jamestown. If you’d like to volunteer, you can e-mail jamestownkiwanis@gmail.com.
