A total of 66 calls have been responded to by the Jamestown Fire Department according to the report released by Fire Chief Jim Ruether. Below is a full list of dates, times and a summary of the incident that was reported.
March 8th, 11:50AM, ready squad responded to 623 5th St NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 25 minutes.
March 8th, 1:21PM, ready squad responded to 2400 8th Ave SW, Buffalo Mall, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
March 9th, 1:04PM, ready squad responded to 431 7th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 35 minutes.
March 10th, 2:45AM, ready squad responded to 205 6th St SE, Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Maintenance staff will do further investigation into the odor. Time out 1 hour.
March 11th, 11:17AM, ready squad responded to 701 3rd St SW, Ann Carlson Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
March 12th, 4:33PM, fire department responded to 734 11th St NE, Multi family Dwelling, to a report of the fire alarms activated and smoke in the hallways. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Firefighters exhausted smoke and investigated. Cause-juvenile fire play. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
March 12th, 4:46PM, fire department responded to 1605 4th Ave SW, Vehicle, to a report of a vehicle on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-person performing vehicle repairs. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.
March 12th, 7:07PM, ready squad responded to 2425 Circle Drive, NDSH-Employee Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt popcorn. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 55 minutes.
March 12th, 8:18PM, fire department responded to 710 10th St SE, Pizza Hut, to a report of smoke by their dumpster. Firefighters investigated the area and there was no fire. Cause-smoke from chimney. No injuries reported. Time out 10 minutes.
