Gloria Wentz, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Jamestown, ND, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Moorhead, MN.
Gloria Wentz was the only natural child born to Alaska and Delbert Harvey in Olympia, WA on April 30th (forever 29!). Upon moving from Carrington, ND to Jamestown, she started her aerospace career with numerous years at Western Gear. Taking those skills to Everett, WA, she spent 14 years with Boeing from which she retired. After retiring she returned to Jamestown to be near family. She especially enjoyed her early retirement years working with the Frontier Village as manager for a time, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and was an active member of the Jamestown Lions Club.
Gloria leaves behind six daughters: Vicki Muldoon (Hot Springs, AR), Dee Riley (Shawnee, OH), Lori Sigdahl (Moorhead, MN), Gail (Larry) Suter (Friendsville, MD), Ruth (Randy) Chapin (Jamestown, ND), Sister Annunciata Wentz, O.P. (Kerri) (Dominican Sisters of Mary in Ann Arbor, MI), twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many friends and acquaintances, especially two dear life-long friends, Maureen Walsh and Nina Snyder.
She was preceded in death by sons, Robbie and Jeffrey Sigdahl.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Sanford Hospital Palliative Care and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
