CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota MATHCOUNTS competition will be held March 17 in Bismarck and four students will be competing at a team and as individuals during the competition.

Math teacher and supervisor Trevor Hansen says the team place first in the regional competition in February to earn a trip to the state competition.

Valley City Schools superintendent Dean Koppelman and school board members congratulated the four on a job well done and wished them the best with their upcoming competition during the March 10 school board meeting.
