LAKE (NewsDakota.com)  The Region 4 Girls Basketball Tourney kicked off yesterday at the Devils Lake Sports Center.  Here are the results:

Carrington 67  Munich/Starkweather 32

Maara Nelson had 13 points to lead the Cardinals past the Magic Storm in yesterdays opening game of the tourney.  Three other players were in double figures for Carrington including Kayla Hochhalter and Brooke Rosenau with 12 each and Lynzee Hagemeister added 11.  The Cardinals improve to 19-4 overall and are on a 10-game winning streak.  Carrington’s Jacey Engelhorn left the game in the first quarter with a sprained ankle, she did not play the rest of the game.  No further information available at the time of writing this story.   

Lakota/Edmore 70  Rolla 41

North Star 59  Harvey/Wells County 53 OT

Rolette/Wolford 38  New Rockford/Sheyenne 36

Rachel Hermanson had 13 points and Lexie Weber added 12 as the Rockets drop to the Comets and end their season at 12-11 overall. 

TODAY’S SCHEDULE:

6pm – Carrington  VS  Lakota/Edmore

20 min after – North Star  VS  Rolette/Wolford
