Diane Peterson, 68, Valley City, ND died at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND on February 26, 2014.  She was born on February 14, 1946, the only daughter of five children born to Henry and Grace (Envie) Gellerman, in Miles City, MT.  She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, ND.

     In 1964, she married Larry Busche, they had two children together, Suzanne and Steven.

     On March 16, 1984, she married James Peterson.  For several years, she worked at the family businesses, Brothers III and Dakota Silver.

     Diane loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  Most recently, her great grandchildren, Kennedy and Benjamin, were a source of great joy.

     Over the years, Diane enjoyed many hobbies and activities including bowling, playing bingo, going to the casino, cross stitch, quilting, gardening, taking her dogs, Molly and Casey, for a van ride and watching her favorite sports teams, the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins.  In the more recent years, she loved making quilts and giving them as gifts to the people in her life.

     Diane will be greatly missed by her family and the many others whose lives she touched.  Her family will take comfort in knowing that she can now breathe easy and will be cheering on the Vikings and the Twins with her parents.

     She is survived by her husband, James Peterson, Valley City; daughter, Suzanne (Jay) Heise, Valley City; son, Steven (Barb) Busche, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Shaun (Jennaca) Salberg, Justin (Keri) Heise, Jordan Heise and Erik Busche; great grandchildren, Kennedy and Benjamin; brothers, Jerry (Julie) Gellerman, Sterling, KS, Rick Gellerman, Tucson, AZ, Dennis (Linda) Gellerman, Backus, MN, and Donald (Carla) Gellerman, Grand Forks, ND; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

     Diane was preceded in death by her parents.

     A memorial service for Diane will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens near Valley City in the spring.
