CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota School Counselors Association awarded Dolores Manson, Career Development Counselor at Sheyenne Valley Area Career & Tech Center, the North Dakota Outstanding High School Counselor of the Year Award.
Manson delivers a grades 7-12 counseling program to students in the Maple Valley and Barnes County North school districts. She has lead in “Gearing Up for Middle School,” “Senior Seminar,” “Are You Ready? College Transition,” “RUReadyND” career exploration and planning, service learning, job shadows and Intern supervision.
Career & Tech Center Director Jeff Bopp describes Dolores Manson as “a hard-working, dedicated, honest person who consistently exceeds all levels of expected performance. She is the kind of person who her students know they can count on to be there meeting their needs and helping them to make sure they excel to the best of their abilities.”
The North Dakota School Counselors Association would like to extend their congratulations to Dolores Manson. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the Valley City and surrounding communities for their support of Mrs. Manson and the School Counseling Program.
