(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes School Board during their regular monthly meeting announced the commencement of receiving applications for the High School principal position.

Superintendent Josh Johnson says the period to apply will run through mid-March, and an announcement on the next principal should be announced at the board’s April meeting. Dawn Osborn has been serving in an interim capacity since the resignation of Don Warren last November.

There will be two open seats on the board for the next election. The seats that will be open are for West of Highway 1 and Rural At Large. The deadline to apply is March 31.

The next board meeting is set for March 10th at 5 p.m.
