(NewsDakota.com)  After a week off, the Cardinals were back in action tonight at the Carrington High School Gym against District 8 team the Benson County Wildcats.  Carrington won 60-53, they improve to 13-4, Benson County drops to 11-6. 

A couple of times throughout the game, Carrington was up by as many as 18 points.  The Wildcats made a run and pulled within four points with :35 seconds left in the fourth quarter, but Carrington would hold on to the lead and get the victory.  Seniors Kayla Hochhalter and Jacey Engelhorn combined for 43 points to lead the Cardinals, Brooke Rosenau added 10.

Next up for Carrington will be this Thursday at home against Griggs County Central, pregame can be heard about 7:10p on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, tipoff at 7:30p.
