Debbie Koller, age 62, of Fingal, ND, died Thursday, February 6th at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 10th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church and one hour before the service on Monday morning. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery in the spring.

     Debbie Koller was born February 25, 1951 in Eureka, SD. She was raised by her grandparents in Venturia, ND until she started high school and moved with her parents to West Fargo, ND. On July 20, 1968 she married Mike Koller in Fingal, ND. The couple lived and spent most of their married life together in Fingal. Debbie worked in bars in Nome, Fingal, Oriska, Kathryn and the Roadside Bar in Enderlin, ND. She managed the Fingal Bar and the Fingal Cafe. She babysat and did housecleaning for people in both Fingal and Kathryn. Debbie was a bus driver for the Fingal and Maple Valley School Districts for over 20+ years. Debbie also worked for the Tower View Café for over 20 years. She also worked at Maryhill Manor and the Trackside Café in Enderlin. Debbie took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and shopping for them. She also loved to spend time with her best friend and companion, her dog Teddy. She also loved to spend time tending all of the flowers in her yard. Debbie spent numerous hours cooking and baking homemade German dishes for her family and friends. Debbie never went to a meeting or a gathering without some homemade goodies. Debbie and Mike always fed the many birds, rabbits and squirrels that filled their yard and always made them feel welcomed. The neighbors would often try and shoot the squirrels, but Mike and Debbie kept right on feeding them. The door to their house was always open and the coffee pot was always on for friends to share their joys and sorrows. Debbie spent many years on the Fingal Fire Department. She took great pride in being a First Responder. She was a First Responder with the Enderlin Rescue Squad and in 2004 helped form the Fingal First Responders. In 2010, Debbie served as President of the Barnes County First Responders. Debbie was also a certified Storm Spotter. Debbie was always there for others, she helped organize and start numerous benefits for co-workers and neighbors around the area.

     Debbie is survived by her husband Mike, Fingal, ND; two sons, Travis (Jen) Koller, Fingal, ND and Chad (Amy) Koller, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Darby and Piper Koller, Fingal, ND and Kylie Koller, Fargo, ND; her best friend Teddy; numerous friends and neighbors.

     Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Koller, Jr.
