CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) BEK Communications is pleased to announce the company has entered into a franchise agreement with the City of Valley City. As part of the agreement, the company will invest nearly million to build the most advanced infrastructure available anywhere in the world, and offer to the community products and services not currently available to them.

The Valley City commission voted to approve the agreement officially during their regular board meeting on Tuesday, February 4.

BEK will be contacting Barnes County and Valley City residents and business owners with information regarding the planned build and free services available to them during the initial stages of the company’s investment.

BEK will host open door community events in and around Valley City to share the technology being used and the timeline for placing fiber in the ground. By taking part in the build process now, residents and businesses are offered the opportunity to receive fiber connections built right up to their home or business at no cost to them.

The next informational meeting will be held on February 23 at the Valley City Eagles Club from noon-4pm during a Sunday brunch. Area residents are encouraged to attend.

BEK CEO Derrick Bulawa says, “we have a long history of providing quality communication services to North Dakota residents whether serving a large or small community, our mission does not change, provide our customers and clients with the best connectivity available anywhere. BEK is willing to make that investment now so that our customers won’t have to in the future. Barnes County and Valley City will not be any different and we are excited to begin bringing world-class communication services to the area.”
