N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The US National Weather Service had some pretty chilly storm and cold stats for North Dakota this past weekend.
Although Saturday saw more wind than cold, Sunday made up for it. Saturday wind gusts reached up to 56 mph near Sand Creek, ND. Fargo saw 54 mph winds, Cooperstown had 52 mph winds and Oakes received 47 mph gusts. Jamestown also had 46 mph wind gusts throughout the day.
Sunday’s cold permeated in the state, with wind chills reaching a freezing -43 F temperatures near Wahpeton. Valley City received -40 F wind chills in the day and Harvey got -38 F wind chills. Looking forward this week, temperatures are expected to rise.
