N.D. (AP) President Obama has signed the first bill authored by North Dakota Republican Representative Kevin Cramer into law.
The Bureau of Land Management Streamlining Act passed the House on May 15 and the Senate on December 20th. The bill includes North Dakota among a list of six states in a pilot project meant to improve the efficiency of processing federal oil and natural gas permits.
Cramer says he’s happy that the president “accepted these modest improvements” to the federal permitting process.
