N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross received a ,000 donation from Dakota Plains Cooperative that was matched by the Land O’ Lakes Inc. Foundation for disaster relief efforts in Central North Dakota to make a total of ,000.
Red Cross volunteers responded to over 200 disaster calls across the region in 201. These funds go to support displaced families with food, clothing, and shelter. These funds will also go to support all first responders with hydration, food, and comfort during a response.
In December alone, the Red Cross has responded to nearly one local disaster every day. The support of partners is critical to the organization carrying out its mission.
“This is significant for us in Central North Dakota and across the entire region,” said Jamestown Executive Director, Beth Dewald. “We appreciate the support from these partners.”
